God, corporatites are insufferable.

I'm reading an article on Reuters about Fender suing Yamaha over Stratocaster guitars. Referred from Plagiarism Today.

In it some corpostooge says the following: Protecting these iconic designs is part of Fender's obligation as a steward of the brand, its legacy, and the authenticity musicians associate with Fender instruments.

Oh come off it now would you. As if the corporation cares one iota about the legacy of the Stratocaster brand. It's a purely financial decision. They want exclusive rights to make stratocasters so that they get all the money from anybody who wants to buy a stratocaster.

I wish for once these sold-my-soul-to-the-company-store shells of men could just be honest, and say that what they stand is represent is greed, deception, and avarice, and that they don't care about the damage they do as long as they are profited by it. They just want to be disgusting men at work, acting as if they haven't a choice, and it's the corporation saying the words through them, not them saying the words, and then go home at ten o'clock, when the wife is nackered out and the children are already in bed having not seen their daddy all day like every other day, and pretend that they love their family.
